If you are searching for a Barcelona airport transfer, the practical question is usually the price and whether the car will be there when you land. The airport run is the one trip I price in advance, so you know the cost before you book.
Barcelona airport transfer prices
The prices below apply to a transfer between Barcelona-El Prat Airport and Barcelona. They are in euros and include VAT.
| Vehicle | Passengers | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Mercedes E-Class | up to 3 | €80 |
| Mercedes V-Class | up to 7 | €80 |
| Mercedes Sprinter | up to 16 | €200 |
| Minibus | up to 33 | €320 |
| Coach | up to 60 | €320 |
The S-Class is booked by the hour only, so it is not part of the airport price. If you want it, see the Mercedes S-Class chauffeur page.
My own advice: for a couple with two suitcases the E-Class is enough. For a family or a group of four, take the V-Class at the same price. There is no reason to squeeze into the smaller car.
The route between El Prat and the city
The airport is 16 km from Plaça de Catalunya, about 25 min without traffic. Real journeys vary with the hour. Morning and evening peaks add time on the ring roads, and it helps to allow a margin when you have a connecting flight or a ship to catch.
You can check the route on Google Maps, and the airport’s own page at Aena has terminal and flight information.
Airport transfer to the hotel
Most arrivals go straight to a hotel or an apartment. Send me the address in the form and I plan the route to the door. If the street is pedestrian or restricted, I tell you where the nearest practical drop-off is rather than leaving you to find out on the day.
Airport transfer for groups
Groups are where a private transfer saves the most effort. The Sprinter takes up to 16, the minibus up to 33 and the coach up to 60, each with a fixed price from the table above. For events and congress arrivals, read the pages on Sprinter airport transfers and coach hire.
Beyond the city: from the airport to the coast
Many guests do not stay in Barcelona. A driver at the airport can take you straight on. These trips are not in the fixed table, so each is quoted on request:
- Airport to Sitges, the shortest of the coastal runs
- Airport to PortAventura and Salou
- Airport to Lloret de Mar on the Costa Brava
- Airport to Andorra
- Girona airport transfer
Airport to the cruise port
Ship days need a firm schedule. The cruise port to or from Barcelona city costs the same as the airport run (€80 in the E-Class or V-Class, €200 in the Sprinter, €320 in a minibus or coach), and the direct run between airport and port costs the same. The airport to cruise port page covers the route, and the port’s own site at Port of Barcelona lists the terminals.
Before you travel: what to send me
A good airport booking needs five details, and none of them take long:
- Arrival date and flight number, so the pick-up follows your actual landing time.
- The drop-off address, with the street number, not only the hotel name.
- Passengers and luggage, including bulky items such as golf bags, instruments or pushchairs.
- A mobile number that works abroad, so the driver and I can reach you at arrivals.
- The return date, if you want the trip home arranged at the same time.
The service runs 24/7, so a late landing or a very early departure is booked like any other. For departures, tell me your flight time and I work back from it. I would rather you wait ten minutes at the terminal than watch the clock in traffic.
How to book
- Open the form below, or go to the contact page.
- Give the date, flight number or arrival time, terminal if you know it, and the drop-off address.
- Add the number of passengers and bags.
- I reply by e-mail or WhatsApp with the vehicle and the price.
- Confirm and the transfer is booked.
For the return journey, send both dates in one request. Hourly hire, if you need a driver for the day after you land, is explained on the chauffeur by the hour page, and the whole price list is on the prices page. Back to chauffeur service Barcelona for the full range.
