Events in Barcelona produce the same transport problem every time. Many people want to arrive at the same venue at the same time, parking is scarce, and the return journey after midnight is the least predictable part. An event chauffeur service solves it with a booked car and driver, or a fleet of them, waiting where you need them.
Event chauffeur service in Barcelona: how it works
For events, I use hourly hire. A car or group vehicle and a driver stay at your disposal for the hours you book.
- 6 hours is the minimum per day, with no maximum.
- Extra hours are charged at the hourly rate.
- VAT is included in every price.
- Several vehicles, several days or several venues are quoted on request.

Events I cover
Barcelona’s calendar is busy. These are the events people most often ask about.
Trade fairs and congresses
Mobile World Congress is the largest, and it has a page of its own: chauffeur service for Mobile World Congress. Other fairs use the same venues. The official Fira Barcelona site lists the events, and I take the same approach for each: confirm the venue, plan the drop-off, and agree a pick-up time for the return. Formula 1 and motorsport

Festivals and city events
Barcelona’s festivals, such as La Mercè, Sónar and Primavera Sound, take place across the city. Dates and venues change, and so do access arrangements, so check the festival’s official site. Galas, dinners and the theatre
A gala is a short-hop evening: collect, drop at the door, wait, return. Hourly hire with the driver nearby suits it, and the 6-hour minimum applies.
Choosing vehicles for an event
- E-Class or V-Class for VIPs, speakers and small parties. The V-Class carries up to seven.
- Sprinter (up to 16) for a team or a table.
- Minibus (up to 33) and coach (up to 60) for shuttle loops between a hotel and a venue.

Planning tips from the road
- Send the venue name and the finish time early. The pick-up plan depends on both.
- Give guest numbers by group. It decides whether one vehicle or several is the right fit.
- Allow for waiting time at the end. Events overrun, and a driver on hourly hire covers that.
- Agree a pick-up point. Venues often have a specific drop-off area. The driver can wait nearby and meet you when you call.
Shuttle loops between a hotel and a venue
For a conference or a large party, the useful format is a loop. A Sprinter, minibus or coach runs between the hotel and the venue at times you set. You pay for the hours of hire, not per seat, so the cost per person falls as the vehicle fills. I do not publish a per-person figure, because the right vehicle depends on your numbers and timings. Send the headcount and the schedule, and I propose the loop.
For VIPs, speakers and executives, a car alongside the shuttle avoids waiting for a scheduled run. A V-Class is a good fit for a speaker and a team.
Night events and late finishes
Evening events are where a booked driver earns the most. Public transport thins out, taxis queue, and guests are tired. With hourly hire, the driver waits for you and the return is already arranged. Tell me the likely finish time, and say if it might run late. Extra hours are charged at the hourly rate for the vehicle.
Working with an event organiser
If you are an organiser, send the run sheet: venues, times, guest groups and any VIPs. I confirm the vehicles and the pick-up points against it. If the plan changes, tell me as soon as you know. I work with whoever is on the booking, whether that is an assistant, an agency or the host.
Airport arrivals for event guests
Guests flying in for an event arrive on different flights. For a handful of people, separate airport transfers at the fixed rate are simplest, and the price is the same whether the vehicle is full or not.
