Two minibus sizes
I run two vehicles in this class, and both always come with a professional driver.
- Mercedes Sprinter: up to 16 passengers. The practical choice for corporate teams, family reunions and small tour groups.
- Minibus: up to 33 passengers. The choice for weddings, school or sports groups, conference delegations and larger parties.
Searches such as “16 seater minibus hire Barcelona” and “12 seater minibus hire Barcelona” are best met by the Sprinter. How much to hire a minibus with a driver
People often ask for a cheap minibus hire with a driver, or for a price near me. The prices above do not change with the booking date that I can confirm, so the way to keep the cost down is to size the vehicle right:
- Count the passengers, including children.
- Count the large bags. A full vehicle with a lot of luggage may need the next size up.
- Decide if a fixed transfer covers the trip or if you want the vehicle for a block of hours.
If your route is a single run to or from the airport, the fixed price is usually clearer. If you plan stops, hourly hire gives you the freedom to move on your own schedule.

Hourly hire works best for a day with several stops. Examples:

Choosing between the Sprinter and the minibus
The prices differ, but the right choice depends on the group more than on the budget. A short guide:

If you are at the upper limit of a vehicle and you have large suitcases, choose the next size up. A full Sprinter with 16 passengers and big bags is a tight fit, and it is better to find out before the day than at the kerb.
What a minibus day looks like
A corporate team day. Twelve colleagues travel from a Barcelona hotel to an off-site meeting and back. The Sprinter at 6 hours costs €610, and the driver waits through the meeting.
A group arrival. A party of twenty-five arrives at the airport and goes to the hotel. The minibus transfer is €320.
A school or sports group. The party travels to a venue for the day. For longer days I quote the hours at the rate above, and for unusual routes I quote on request.
A wedding. Guests are shuttled between hotel and venue in the morning and back at night. I plan the time slots with you so the vehicle is where it should be at each point.

Searches like “minibus hire with driver near me” ask about location. I serve Barcelona and the surrounding area, with pick-ups at hotels, homes, offices, the airport, the cruise port and stations. For a pick-up outside Barcelona, such as a hotel on the Costa Brava or in Sitges, tell me the address and the date. If it is on a route in the fixed table, you get the fixed price; otherwise I quote on request.
Timing and schedules for groups
Groups run late more often than individuals, so I plan for it. A few habits that help:
- Give one contact person who will be with the group and reachable by phone.
- Set the pick-up time ten to fifteen minutes before you really need to leave.
- For airport pick-ups, send the flight number so I can follow the arrival plan you give me.
- For events, share the programme so the driver knows when the vehicle is needed and when it can wait.
