The Mercedes S-Class is the top car in my fleet, and it is booked differently from the others: by the hour, never as a fixed transfer. This page explains when that makes sense, what it costs and how a booking works.
When I recommend the S-Class
The S-Class suits trips where the car is part of the occasion or where you want the most comfortable seat available for a long day. Think of a board member visiting for a congress, a guest of honour at an event, a milestone anniversary dinner or a client you want to impress.
It seats up to 3 passengers. If you travel with more people, the Mercedes V-Class with a driver takes up to 7. If you want the same executive feel at a lower hourly rate for one to three people, look at the Mercedes E-Class chauffeur.
S-Class chauffeur prices
Prices are in euros and include VAT. Hire is by the hour:
- 6 hours at your disposal (the minimum per day): €745
- 8 hours at your disposal: €990
- Each additional hour: €125
There is no maximum, and I confirm the total for a longer day in writing before you book. Because the S-Class has no fixed transfer prices, a one-way trip is calculated from the hours it takes, or quoted on request if the route is unusual.

Why the S-Class is hourly only
A fixed point-to-point price makes sense for routes everybody drives often, like the airport. The S-Class is the car I keep for days with a plan that changes: a stop for a meeting, a long lunch, a late dinner. Booking it by the hour means the car and driver are yours for the time you reserve, with no meter and no surprise.
The minimum of 6 hours per day applies to every vehicle in the fleet. If you only need a short ride, the E-Class or V-Class airport transfer at €80 is the better fit.

A typical S-Class booking:
- Pick-up at your hotel or office at the time you set.
- Route planned with you in advance, and changed on the day if your schedule moves.
- Waiting time is part of the hours you book, so the driver stays with the car while you are in a meeting or at a table.
- Drop-off wherever the day ends.

If the question is price per hour, the E-Class and V-Class are cheaper. If the question is the best seat for one to three people, it is the S-Class.

Sample S-Class days
These are examples of how I plan an S-Class booking. They are not fixed packages; the price is always the hourly rate above for the hours you book.
A congress day. A delegate arrives in the morning, has two meetings in different parts of the city, a working lunch and an evening dinner. The car and driver stay with the booking for the whole day. I plan the order of the stops with you the day before and keep slack between them.
An anniversary or special dinner. The car collects a couple at their hotel, takes them to the restaurant, waits and brings them back. The hours are counted from pick-up to drop-off, so you know in advance what the evening costs.
A day outside the city. A trip to Sitges, Montserrat or Girona with time on site. For these the S-Class is booked by the hour, not as a fixed transfer, so the day-trip total is the hours multiplied by the hourly rate. What to tell me before you book
- The date and the time you want the car
- The pick-up address and the places you expect to visit
- The number of passengers (the S-Class takes up to 3) and the luggage
- Whether you want the driver to wait at each stop or return at set times
With these four points I can confirm the total hours and the price in one reply. If your plan is still open, say so: it is easy to start with the 6-hour minimum and add hours on the day at €125 each.
