Barcelona airport to cruise port: distance and time
The Port of Barcelona cruise terminals are 16 km from El Prat, about 20 min without traffic. The route runs along the city’s southern edge, so the main delays come from the ring roads at peak hours and from queues at the terminals themselves when several ships are in port. I would never plan this transfer to the last minute.

Price: the airport price
The airport to cruise port run costs the same as the airport run into Barcelona city, and so does the cruise port to or from the city: €80 in the E-Class or V-Class, €200 in the Sprinter and €320 in a minibus or coach, per vehicle and VAT included. Tell me the terminal and the ship
The Port of Barcelona has more than one cruise terminal, and the right one depends on your line and ship. Your cruise documents name it. Put it in the form together with the date, so the driver knows exactly where to stop.
Taxi, bus, train or private transfer
People searching this route also compare a taxi, a bus, a train or a ride-hailing app. I cannot publish fares or timetables for those, because they depend on the operator and the day. The airport page at Aena lists the official connections.
The reasons guests pick a private driver for this particular trip:
- One handover. Arrivals to the ship terminal with no change.
- Luggage. Cruise passengers carry large cases. The V-Class and Sprinter take them comfortably.
- A schedule you control. The pick-up time is set around your landing, not around a timetable.
- Groups. Families and friends arriving on different flights can share the Sprinter, minibus or coach.

If you travel with a lot of luggage, say so in the form. For two people with two large cases each, I would still check the V-Class rather than risk a tight boot.
Disembarkation: from the ship to the airport
The return works the same way. Send the disembarkation date, your flight time and the terminal. I plan the pick-up so you reach the airport with the margin your airline recommends. Timing the day
On embarkation day the usual mistake is a landing time that is too close to the ship’s boarding deadline. Your cruise line sets the check-in window, and it is on your documents. Work back from it: landing, passport control, baggage reclaim, the drive, then the terminal procedure. I would plan a generous gap between landing and the ship’s deadline, especially if the flight is not a morning one.
If a delay does happen, tell me as early as you can by e-mail or WhatsApp, and I adjust the pick-up where possible. Ship departures do not move for late passengers, so the margin is the real protection.
Pre-cruise or post-cruise hotel nights
Many guests add a night in Barcelona before or after the ship. In that case the airport run is one transfer and the port run is another. Book them together in a single request. The standard airport-to-city price is on the prices page, and the cruise port to your hotel in the city has the same price, so both legs are fixed.
