Salou and PortAventura are the one day trip that a lot of families plan weeks ahead. The question is rarely the distance. It is how to get a group, a pile of luggage or a pushchair there and back without a chain of connections. I quote the transfer by e-mail or WhatsApp and match the vehicle to your party.

Barcelona to PortAventura: price

The S-Class is booked by the hour only. A transfer to a hotel in Salou rather than the park is quoted on request, since the table covers the route to PortAventura.
Barcelona to PortAventura and Salou: distance and time
PortAventura World is 107 km from Plaça de Catalunya, about 1 h 30 min without traffic. Salou is 108 km away, about 1 h 25 min. Real journey times depend on the day: summer weekends and the start and end of school holidays are slower. You can open the routes on Google Maps for PortAventura and Google Maps for Salou.

A full day at the park
If you want the vehicle and driver to stay with you, the booking is hourly hire. The estimate is a round trip of 1 h 30 min each way plus 8 hours on site, rounded up to the half hour: 11 hours of hire. Prices include VAT.

Which vehicle to book
- E-Class. Up to 3 passengers. For a couple or a small family.

- Sprinter. Up to 16 passengers. Good for a family reunion or a stag or hen party.
- Minibus or coach. Up to 33 or 60 passengers, for school trips and club groups. See coach hire.
Private transfer, train or coach
Searches for this route bring up trains, buses and Reddit threads about the cheapest way. I do not publish public fares or times, since they change; Renfe has the current rail information. A private transfer answers a different need:
- Door to door. The driver collects you at your address and drops you at the park or hotel.
- Luggage and pushchairs. Everything stays in the vehicle.
- Your timetable. You leave when you are ready.
- One vehicle for the party. Everyone travels together, which helps with children.
Transfer or full-day booking: which one
Two different bookings sit behind this route, and the right one depends on how you plan to spend the days.
- One-way transfer. You travel to PortAventura or to a hotel and the vehicle returns without you. This is the fixed-price option in the table at the top of the page. It suits a family that stays overnight or for several days.
- Full day with a return. The vehicle and driver stay with you at the park and bring you back to Barcelona that evening. This is hourly hire, with the estimate above for 11 hours.
If you are unsure, tell me your dates and how many nights you stay. Families on a single day often find the day booking simpler, because nobody has to arrange the return.
Salou, the hotels and the resort area
Salou is the resort town beside the park, and many hotels there are within reach of PortAventura. The table price at the top is for the park itself. A transfer to a hotel in Salou is quoted on request, since the exact address changes the route. Give me the hotel name and I confirm. The drive to Salou is 108 km, about 1 h 25 min without traffic.
From Barcelona airport or the cruise port
Many guests land at Barcelona and go straight to the coast. These are different journeys from a hotel pick-up, because the pick-up point and the timing depend on the flight or the ship. Families, schools and groups
Families make up most of these bookings, and the practical issues are the same each time: how many people, how much luggage, whether there are pushchairs, and how early the children need to be there. Tell me, and I choose the vehicle and the departure time accordingly. For school and club groups, the minibus and coach are the right size, and one quote covers the party. If you travel with young children, mention it when you ask and I confirm the arrangements in writing.
