Sitges is the nearest seaside town to the airport that most visitors actually want. The coast road and motorway make the 32 km run straightforward, and a private driver removes the one part that tires people most after a flight: finding the right bus or queue with luggage.
For a wider view of airport pickups, start with the Barcelona airport transfer page. This page covers the Sitges run only.
Barcelona airport to Sitges: distance and time
El Prat to Sitges is 32 km, about 30 min without traffic. At peak hours on the Barcelona ring roads, and on summer weekends when the coast fills up, allow longer. If you are catching a connection from Sitges to the airport, plan a bigger margin than the free-flow time suggests.
You can see the route on Google Maps. For the town itself, the official site Sitges tourism has events and visitor information.
Price: quoted on request
Sitges from the airport is not in my fixed price table. I quote it on request, with VAT included, after checking the date and the vehicle. The only figures I fix in advance are the airport-to-Barcelona prices and the hourly rates, listed on the prices page.
If you are coming back from Sitges to the city later, the table does include a Barcelona to Sitges route. See Barcelona to Sitges by chauffeur for that.
Airport to Sitges by taxi, bus, train or private driver
People searching this route compare four options: taxi, bus, train and a private transfer. I do not publish timetables or fares for the others, because they change, and the operators’ own sites are the right source. What I can tell you is how a private driver differs:
- Door to door. You are collected at arrivals and dropped at the address. No transfer between modes.
- Luggage. The E-Class and V-Class carry the bags with you. Groups with many cases should say so in the form.
- Fixed quote. The price is agreed before you travel, so it does not depend on a meter.
- Timing. The pick-up is planned around your flight, not around a timetable.
If you prefer public transport for part of the trip, the airport’s own page at Aena lists the connections.
Choosing the vehicle
| Group | Vehicle |
|---|---|
| 1 to 3 passengers | Mercedes E-Class |
| Up to 7 passengers or lots of luggage | Mercedes V-Class |
| Up to 16 passengers | Mercedes Sprinter |
| Up to 33 passengers | Minibus |
| Up to 60 passengers | Coach |
For a couple I would book the E-Class. For a family of four with suitcases, the V-Class. A wedding party or a group at a festival in Sitges is better in the Sprinter or the minibus than in three separate cars.
Planning around your flight
Give me the flight number or arrival time and I plan the pick-up. Once you have cleared the terminal and collected the bags, the driver takes you directly to your hotel, apartment or villa. If the destination is in the old town where streets are narrow, I tell you in advance where the car can stop and how short the walk is.
For the return, I schedule the pick-up from the departure time and the check-in margin you want. Tell me your airline’s recommended arrival time if you know it.
Sitges events and busy weekends
Sitges hosts festivals and events through the year, and the town fills up around them. On those weekends, hotels and streets are busy, and the last kilometres into the centre can be slow. Check the calendar on the official Sitges tourism site, and tell me your dates so I plan the arrival with the traffic in mind.
How to book
- Open the quote form below or use the contact page.
- Enter the date, arrival time or flight, the Sitges address and the number of passengers and bags.
- If you want a return, add the second date.
- I reply by e-mail or WhatsApp with the vehicle and the price, VAT included.
- Confirm and the transfer is booked.
If your plans change from a simple transfer to a day around Sitges and the coast, the hourly chauffeur page explains how hire by the hour works. Other coastal runs from the airport include PortAventura and Salou and Lloret de Mar.
