A Mercedes Sprinter with a driver is the vehicle I recommend when a group is too big for the V-Class (up to 7 passengers) but does not need a full minibus or coach. It carries up to 16 passengers in one vehicle, with a professional driver who knows the city, the airport and the day-trip routes. The price is for the vehicle, not per person. The full table with all vehicles is on the prices page. Anything not in the table, for example other towns, several days or events, is quoted on request.
Hire by the hour has a 6-hour minimum per day and no maximum. Extra hours are charged at the hourly rate.
What a Sprinter is used for
Airport transfers
A group of up to 16 lands at El Prat, which is 16 km and about 25 min from the city centre. The Sprinter takes everyone and the luggage in one run for €200. For the details, see Sprinter van rental at Barcelona airport. If you are choosing between a few cars and one van, one vehicle is easier to coordinate.
Train station and port transfers
Transfers from Sants station or hotels are not in the fixed table, so I quote them on request. Barcelona’s cruise terminals to or from the city or the airport are priced like the airport run (€200 in the Sprinter). Tell me the time, the address and the group size.
Hourly hire in the city
For a congress, a city tour or a day of meetings, the driver stays with the group. Six hours is €610 and eight hours €785, with extra hours at €90. If the route is flexible, say so and I plan stops with you. The hourly chauffeur page explains the logic.
Day trips

Corporate groups, family reunions and events

Capacity, luggage and comfort
The Sprinter seats up to 16 passengers. That is the number to plan with, not more: if your group is larger, the minibus takes 33 and the coach 60. Luggage space depends on how many passengers there are and how large the bags are. A full group with big suitcases may fit better in the minibus, so send the number of people and bags with your request and I confirm in writing.
I do not list extras beyond seats and luggage space, because I only state what I can confirm for your date. If a particular requirement matters to your group, write it in the form and I tell you plainly what is possible before you book.

How the price compares with several cars
Because the Sprinter price is for the whole vehicle, it works out differently depending on the group. A group of up to 16 can ride in one vehicle at €200 for the airport run, where the same group in cars would need several bookings. The V-Class carries up to 7 and the E-Class up to 3, both at €80 on the same airport route. Two V-Class cars cover 14 passengers but need two drivers and two bookings to coordinate, which is usually the deciding factor for a corporate group or a wedding party that wants everyone arriving together.
For day hire the same logic applies. Hourly hire of a Sprinter is €610 for 6 hours, against €470 for a V-Class that seats 7. If your group is 8 or more, the Sprinter is the vehicle that fits them together, and I would not split them across two cars unless the pick-up points are different.
Planning a group day with a Sprinter
A few things make a group day run smoothly, and I ask about them in the quote:
- Meeting point. One pick-up address is simplest. If the group is split between hotels, tell me and I plan the order of stops.
- Timing. Give me the start time, any fixed appointments (a meeting, a booked entry time) and the latest finish.
- Stops. List the places you want to see. I check that the day fits within the hours you book and tell you if it does not.
- Return. For airport runs, send the flight details for both directions.

Sprinter van hire: with a driver, not self-drive
People who search for sprinter van hire or sprinter van rental often mean a self-drive van. I do not offer that. Every Sprinter booking comes with a driver. For a group in Barcelona that is usually a plus: the city has narrow streets, tolls on the motorways and limited parking near the old town and the airport. The driver handles those, and the group travels together.
