Pas de la Casa is a ski resort, and most trips to it are planned around dates: a week on the slopes, a group arriving on a Saturday, a return on the following one. The transfer decides whether the first day is a good one. I plan the vehicle, the departure and the equipment with you, and I quote the trip in writing before you pay.
This page is for guests starting in the city. For Andorra la Vella and the rest of the country, see Barcelona to Andorra.
Barcelona to Pas de la Casa: distance and time
Pas de la Casa is 185 km from Plaça de Catalunya, about 2 h 40 min without traffic. That is a long transfer, and real times depend on conditions. Winter weather on the mountain section, ski-season weekends and queues at the border can add time. You can open the route on Google Maps.
Resort details, border notes and visitor information are on the official Andorra tourism site.
Price: quoted on request
At this distance there is no day-trip estimate. It is a one-way or return transfer, and I quote it on request. The price depends on the vehicle, the date, the pick-up point and whether the driver waits or comes back for you. Prices are in euros and include VAT.
The vehicles I offer are:
| Vehicle | Passengers |
|---|---|
| Mercedes E-Class | up to 3 |
| Mercedes S-Class (hourly only) | up to 3 |
| Mercedes V-Class | up to 7 |
| Mercedes Sprinter | up to 16 |
| Minibus | up to 33 |
| Coach | up to 60 |
Send the date, the number of passengers and the amount of luggage or ski equipment through the form below. I reply with a quote by e-mail or WhatsApp. For the general rates, see the prices page.
Which vehicle for a ski transfer
- E-Class. Up to 3 passengers. For a couple with limited luggage.
- V-Class. Up to 7 passengers. For a family or a small group with skis and bags. See Mercedes V-Class with driver.
- Sprinter. Up to 16 passengers. The usual choice for a group of friends or a company ski trip. See Sprinter van with driver.
- Minibus or coach. Up to 33 or 60 passengers, for school groups, clubs and large parties. See coach hire.
Skis and boards take space. When you ask for a quote, tell me how many bags and how many pairs of skis or boards you bring, and I choose the vehicle with that in mind.
Private transfer or bus transfer
Searches for this route bring up scheduled bus transfers and shared shuttles. I do not publish public fares or timetables, since they change; the operators are the right source. A private transfer differs in practical ways:
- Pick-up at your hotel or address. No station to reach first.
- Your departure time. You are not working to a shared timetable.
- Equipment. Skis and bags travel in the vehicle with you.
- One vehicle for the group. Everyone arrives together.
Airport and return journeys
Many guests land at Barcelona and go straight to the mountains. That is a transfer from the airport, and it has its own page: Barcelona airport to Andorra. Official airport information is on the Barcelona airport site. For the return to the airport at the end of the week, send the flight time and I quote the pick-up in the resort.
Resort stays, week-long trips and return legs
Ski trips usually have two legs, a Saturday arrival and a Saturday departure a week later. Each leg is a transfer, and they can be booked together so that the vehicle and timing are agreed in one go. If you want the same vehicle for both, say so when you ask for the quote.
- Arrival leg. Pick-up in Barcelona, at your hotel or at the airport, and drop-off at your accommodation in Pas de la Casa.
- Departure leg. Pick-up at the resort and drop-off at your hotel, the airport or another address.
- One-way only. If you are travelling on elsewhere, a single leg is fine.
- Mid-week extras. A day to another resort or town is a separate booking, quoted on request.
What affects the journey
A transfer into the mountains is not the same as a motorway run. A few factors shape the timing:
- Weather. Snow and ice can slow the mountain section or change the plan, so I keep the departure flexible.
- Ski-season weekends. Saturdays are the busiest changeover days, so the road is slower than the free-flow estimate.
- Border. Travel documents are the passenger’s responsibility. Check entry requirements for your nationality before you travel, and the official Andorra tourism site for current notes.
- Breaks. On a trip of this length a break makes sense, and I allow time for one.
Pas de la Casa or elsewhere in Andorra
Pas de la Casa is at the French border on the Grandvalira side, so it is further than Andorra la Vella. If your accommodation is in another Grandvalira village, tell me the address and I confirm the route. The page for Barcelona to Andorra covers the capital and the general approach. I treat each destination in the country as its own quote, since the final stretch differs.
Groups, clubs and school trips
Ski groups are my main reason for a bigger vehicle on this route. A Sprinter handles a group of up to 16 passengers, a minibus up to 33 and a coach up to 60. For large parties, tell me the number of people and the amount of equipment, and I check that the vehicle has room for both. Group trips are quoted on request, and I send the quote in writing.
